Message from the Bishop, Diocese of Auckland, The Right Reverend Ross Bay

Professor Peter Lineham has drawn my attention to a Church Life Survey for church members about their experience under lockdown, in particular assessing the effectiveness of online services and other forms of support. The results may be helpful to us as we consider our learnings from this period and plan for future online activity. Please note that the survey doesn’t open until Friday 22nd May 2020

Your Tithes & Offerings

The Anglican Parish Of Henderson wishes to thank you for your ongoing and regular offerings/tithing
Your offerings; time, talents, profession, money and planned tithing enables us to do what we do at St. Michaels and St. Mark’s. Your offerings bring about blessings on many levels and the Church could not do anything without the faithful offerings of its members. Let us continue to serve others’ needs in every way possible and once more, thank you for your offerings.

As I was praying about the COVID-19 pandemic, I heard God say to me “FEAR NOT, FOR I AM WITH YOU" Isaiah 41:10.
This is my prayer as we face these uncertain times. God is still God and as we remain in prayer we will see answers as God works through the scientists to find a vaccine.

“We ask our people to continue to pray and serve wherever they may be. We encourage them to care for their communities and ensure that the most vulnerable are regularly checked on and supported. “I roto i te pōuri te mārama e whiti ana; heoi kihai i mau i te pōuri / The light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not overcome it.” John 1:5"
